MISSION

I started doing healing work as a teenager, since my mother was a long time Reiki healer. It was a regular part of my family life. In 1989, I received my first of several formal trainings in hands-on healing. And then after I obtain a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Delaware in social services and counseling, I moved to Virginia Beach, Virginia in 1996, where I received my initial massage training. It has been a love and passion for me ever since.

I moved to the Bay Area in 1999, and began to redevelop my private practice and continue the study of bodywork, human anatomy, and the art of healing through touch. I have had the honor of studying with some amazing teachers through out my journey. Most recently I have studied and worked with Dr. Tom Hendrickson, the founder of the Hendrickson Method and the director of the Hendrickson Method Institute. I am also a long time practitioner of meditation and am a student of Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh.

In addition to my private practice here in Oakland; I lead workshops on the Hendrickson Method form of orthopedic massage here in Oakland. If you are interested in learning this amazing advanced body work please email me for my current workshop schedule.

I also teach orthopedic and sports massage workshops at the San Francisco School of Massage and am on the teaching staff at the Hendrickson Method Institute.
